Stories: what can and can't be reposted
Which Stories Loopcast can pick up and post, why links and stickers have to be added by you in the app, and how to finish a story with a link.

Where Stories can come from
A Stories workflow picks up stories from Instagram (Business and Creator accounts) and Facebook Pages, and any story file you upload yourself.
Note: TikTok doesn't share Stories with apps. TikTok's API only lists public videos, so a TikTok source never brings in Stories. To repost one, save it from the TikTok app, add the file under Uploads, and use a Stories workflow with Uploads as its source. It's then posted to the destination as a Story.
Links and stickers
Instagram and Snapchat let apps post a story's photo or video, and nothing else. No app can add a link sticker, a mention sticker or any other sticker, and a sticker can't be added to a story after it's posted (you'd have to delete it and post it again in the app). Loopcast never claims a link was added for you.
So when a story should carry a link, Loopcast finishes it with you, before anything is posted:
- Add the link in the workflow's settings (on the destination options tab, for every story) or on a single post in Publish now or Schedule (the Link (added by you in the app) field).
- When the story's turn comes, Loopcast prepares the file and stops. The post shows Finish in app, and you get a notification.
- Open the post's details: download the story file, copy the link, then in Instagram or Snapchat start a story with that file and add the link sticker (on Snapchat, the paperclip).
- Share it, then press Mark as posted in Loopcast. You can paste the story's link so it shows up in your history.
Stories without a link are posted for you as usual.
Text and stickers drawn on the original
Anything on the original story (text, stickers, links, mentions) only carries over as part of the picture. It stays visible, but nobody can tap it.
Snapchat
Posting Stories to Snapchat through its API needs Snap's partner approval for your account.
