How Loopcast finds and posts new content

What happens between you posting on a source and the copy appearing on a destination, and how long each step takes.

Checking for new posts

Loopcast checks each source for new content roughly every two hours. Some platforms tell us the moment something new appears, and those posts are picked up sooner. You can also open a workflow and fetch new content yourself at any time.

Each check copies at most a set number of new posts per workflow (you choose the number under New posts per check in the workflow settings). Anything over that number is marked Skipped so a sudden burst of uploads doesn't flood your destination.

Preparing the copy

When a new post is found, Loopcast downloads the original file, applies your template, captions, trims and text rules, and writes the caption for the destination. Long videos take longer to process; most short videos are ready within a few minutes.

Publishing

Depending on your workflow settings, the post is published as soon as it is ready, placed into your next free time slot, or held until you publish it yourself. Some platforms take a while to process an upload on their side; while that happens you'll see Platform is processing on the post.

  • In line: waiting for its turn.
  • Processing or Uploading: Loopcast is working on it.
  • Published: live, with a link to the post.
  • Failed: something went wrong. See A post failed.
  • Skipped: filtered out or over the per-check limit. Open the post to see why.
