Connect Instagram, Facebook Pages and Threads
Which kind of Instagram and Facebook account you need, how the sign-in works, and what to do if your Page doesn't show up.
Updated
Before you start
- Instagram must be a professional account (Business or Creator). You can switch for free in the Instagram app under account settings.
- Facebook posting works with Pages, not personal profiles. You need to be an admin of the Page.
- Threads connects with the Instagram account it belongs to.
Connect
- In Connections, choose Add connection and pick the platform.
- A sign-in window opens. Log in with the account that manages the Page or Instagram profile, and leave every permission switched on.
- Back in Loopcast, pick the Page or profile to use. You can connect more than one if your plan allows it.
Note: If the window closes and nothing appears, your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for Loopcast and try again.
My Page or Instagram account is missing
- During sign-in, Meta asks which Pages and accounts to share. If you skipped one, remove the connection and connect again, choosing Edit access to include it.
- Make sure the Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
- If you're logged into the wrong Facebook account in this browser, log out of Facebook first, then reconnect.
Platform review
Platforms review apps like Loopcast before letting them post publicly for everyone. Until a review is complete, the platform itself may limit what we can do. Those limits are listed below so nothing surprises you.
- Meta must approve our app and verify our business before people outside our team can connect Instagram, Facebook or Threads. If you see a message that the app isn't available, that review is still in progress.
- Facebook Groups can't be used as a source or destination. Meta doesn't give apps access to Groups.
